After leaving military service, Gunpant's founder found that traditional waistband carry was uncomfortable, restrictive, and poorly aligned with natural movement. Standard pocket carry was no better — pockets were never engineered for stability or orientation. Drawing from years of operational experience, he developed the side-leg carry concept from first principles: a wider opening, a more natural placement, and a structured internal architecture.
